Butterfly Rooms

Butterfly Room (3 - 5 Years)

    Our pre-school room has been carefully designed to support choice making within the curriculum learning areas.  Children within this room are making the connection to prepare them for school.  We believe in a free flow system where children are able to use both this room and the messy area at their own choice.

    We have a variety of activities allowing time for group work as well as one to one time with their key worker supporting and developing any skill needs.  We have regular outside play where there is plenty of opportunity for learning and developing.

    Each child will have their own peg and drawer with their name on to help them develop name recognition and have a sense of belonging.

    Each child has their own Key person who keeps a careful and accurate record of your child's development however we believe parents are a vital resource and we actively encourage all ideas and will try and support any individual learning needs.

    We offer Spanish lessons in our Pre School room, the children have lots of fun learning this special language run by a fully qualified teacher. We are proud to also offer Dance Academy classes and our dance teacher brings enjoyment and learning to dance and music.

    The children in Pre School are actively involved in Health Eating, they are proud to grow their own vegetables, take waste to the compost heap and make special meals.

    We have forged close links with all the local schools and as such we enjoy regular outings to watch plays / shows and take part in fun days and play / stay sessions.
