Introduction

Hawthorns Private Day Nursery aims to meet the needs of each individual child, working holistically to help reach your child's full potential.  We believe this can be achieved by designing the nursery day around your child.

The nursery is set in spacious grounds and surrounded by open countryside, in a warm, caring and safe environment.  We have worked closely with early years, other nurseries and nursery managers to provide resources which meet the needs of each age group and development areas.

Our nursery is unique in offering childcare from 7am (if needed).  Our staff aim, wherever possible, to meet your needs.  Please feel free to meet our staff team and view through their professional files.  Qualified and experienced staff are on duty throughout the day and work closely with our management team.

We always work towards OFSTED guidance and regulations and follow correct staff and child ratios.  To help ensure consistency a member of staff will be allocated to your child, our keyworker system is important in making sure all your child's needs are met.

We offer a balanced, healthy and nutritious diet, the menus are prepared four weeks in advance and will be on display in the nursery.  (copies are available on request).  We also cater for any special requirements, e.g. vegetarian.

Although we have specific rooms for age groups we only move children when they are ready.  This is dependant on each child's individual needs and stage of development, we believe if change is managed as part of a natural progression it will be less unsettling.  A move from one room to another is supported by short settler sessions and if needed your child's keyworker.

Parental involvement is encouraged.  Parents and Grandparents are very welcome to visit at anytime.  When a child starts at the nursery parents may stay with their child, if they feel it will help.  We can also offer short settler sessions, please speak to a member of staff so we can make the process right for you and your child/children.
