The Rainbow room enables children to develop independence through exploration and play. We begin the first stages of structure helping them make stepping-stones to the pre-school room.
The children are supported to use our messy play area and to spend time in the pre-school room if they so wish. We also have a wide range of basic learning programmers offering music and group play as well as individual and role-play.Rainbow room also enjoy football coaching with a local trainer.
The rainbow children are offered regular times in the outside play area with lots of equipment to develop and challenge their gross motor skills.
We offer sleep/quiet time within the day but continue to work around individual needs/preferences. Children often begin potty training at this stage and we design a programme working with the parent to positively support your child when they are ready.
We would ask if parents could bring a small bag with your child’s belongings in to put on their peg helping them develop independence skills.
The meals are provided in the rainbow room and children begin sitting together at a small table.
